FAQ: TASTE

Q. When is the official submission deadline for the Taste challenge?​

The deadline to submit your bottle for the Taste challenge is March 3rd, 5pm. All bottles should be dropped off to the specified location between 1st - 3rd March, 9am-5pm. ​​

Q. My cocktail is ready now - can I submit it earlier?​

We love the enthusiasm! However, all cocktails will be judged after the final deadline, so we ask you bring in your cocktail freshly prepared within the dates below, with a minimum three-day shelf life required. ​​

​Dubai: 1st - 3rd March, 9am - 5pm

Abu Dhabi: 3rd March, 9am - 5pm

Q. How specific should the recipe be? ​

Please ensure all ingredients and the full step by step recipe is outlined on the tag provided with your bottle. All ingredients must be a measured quantity. i.e. squeeze of half a lime” is unacceptable. Recipes entered must be expressed in millilitres (ml) with the use of ‘dashes’ and/or ‘drops’ limited to bitters, hot pepper sauce etc.

 

Please refer to the challenges rules set out on the website here. Any submissions that do not follow the rules will be disqualified from entry so be sure to read carefully.

Q. I can’t fit all of my notes on the entry tag, what do I do? ​

Upon drop off at the designated location, you will be given a form to fill out alongside your bottle entry. This will include a section to add any additional information about your cocktail, so don’t worry!

Q. Where should the bottle be submitted? ​

Dubai bottle drop-off: Shop #9, Path Bar School, Ground Floor, AFRICAN + EASTERN, Grosvenor Business Tower, Tecom, Dubai

Abu Dhabi bottle drop-off: Suite #1302, 13th Floor, Al Masaood Building Najda Street - Abu Dhabi

Q. Do I need to submit entries for both Taste and Theatre challenges? ​

Yes, bartenders will be given a total score based on their submissions in both challenges so you must complete Taste and Theatre to be considered within the competition.

Q. When will I find out if my entry has made it into the Top 30? ​

The Top 30 will be announced on 10th March - save the date and get excited!
